The system, mounted in a surge tank with submerged pump, feeds a quantity of air (at atmospheric pressure), every time the pump starts, equal to the section area of the pipe times the distance of the water level from the point where the valve is connected, which is about 3 mt.
The water escape valve is necessary for a surge tank with a submerged electric pump with a check valve. It allows the emptying of the water column and it guarantees, therefore, a normal air feed into the surge tank, assuring excellent working.
